FCYBL County/Select Team Tryouts Start the First Week of October

Clinic Information

Who Should Attend	The Matrix Basketball 8th Annual Pre-Tryouts Clinics are being offered to girls to help them prepare for upcoming FCYBL tryouts. All players are welcome to attend whether you live in Annandale, Arlington, Falls Church, Great Falls, McLean, or any other local area.
Age Groups	The clinics are offered to girls in grades 4-8.
Cost	The Matrix Pre-Tryouts Clinics are FREE! Donations will be accepted, to help cover the clinic costs, and to also help provide scholarships for players in need of financial assistance to participate on Matrix spring AAU teams.
Clinic Focus	The clinics will focus on general, fundamental basketball skills and scrimmaging. . Days 1 and 2. 60 minutes of skills and 30 minutes of games. . Day 3. 45 minutes of skills and 45 minutes of games. . Day 4. 30 minutes of skills and 60 minutes of games. “Games” will include scrimmaging as well as a variety of other game-situation competitions.
Why 3 Days?	The Matrix offers 4 days of clinics to offer maximum flexibility to players so that they can work around their busy schedules to attend at least two days of clinics. However, players can attend as many of the 4 days as they like!

Who are Clinic Leaders?
A variety of Matrix coaches will take the lead at the Pre-Tryouts Clinics. In addition, the lead coach each night will be supported at the Pre-Tryout Clinics by a number of Matrix coaches.

. Tuesday, September 21 at Swanson MS in Arlington

. Thursday, September 23 at Swanson MS in Arlington
. Monday, September 27 at Kenmore MS in Arlington

. Wednesday, September 29 at Kenmore MS in Arlington

Times

The times for the clinics are as follows:
. Grades 4-6 from 6:15-7:45
. Grades 7-8 from 7:45-9:15

Matrix Basketball’s “Next Level Training Series”

Continuous, year-round repetition of both basic and advanced basketball skills, with adequate guidance, is the best way to improve as a basketball player. The Matrix Next Level Training Series is designed to: 1) pair qualified and experienced basketball trainers and coaches with players who are serious about becoming better basketball players, 2) provide appropriate skills training opportunities to players with a variety of skill levels, and 3) motivate players to continue to take their games to “the next level” throughout the year.
