Below is one of fourteen points of emphasis that is our way we do things at the Matrix, "The Matrix Way."
This is What Matrix Basketball is All About:
 |
We offer honest, open, transparent, and responsive club management. You should not have to wonder what we are doing and why we are doing it. Each year, we ask parents to provide feedback via online surveys; this feedback is incorporated into our coaches’ evaluations and into our program in subsequent years. |

Congratulations to all our Matrix teams, players, and coaches on an outstanding 2011 AAU season. In just the club's fourth year participating in Districts and AAU Nationals, the Matrix led the Potomac Valley with 11 overall DQT medals, and 3 gold medals! Eight Matrix teams went on to compete at the AAU National Championship tournaments this summer.
And to top things off, four different Matrix teams placed at AAU Nationals:
-
Matrix 2019 Black finished 5th overall at 4th Grade Division 1 AAU Nationals, defeating state champions from Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, and Alabama along the way.
-
Matrix 2019 White finished 7th overall at 4th Grade Division 2 AAU Nationals, in their first experience on the national stage.
-
Matrix 2018 Black finished 7th overall at 5th Grade Division 2 AAU Nationals, finishing higher than all other Potomac Valley teams in that tournament.
-
Matrix 2016 Black finished 13th overall at 7th Grade Division 1 AAU Nationals, out of 45 Division 1 teams, in arguably the deepest and most competitive age group nationally.
We are very proud of the achievements of these four teams and all the other Matrix teams on making 2011 such an outstanding season.
| | | | | | | Help Matrix Raise Funds for Nationals or Scholarships | | | | posted 03/31/2011 The cost for a player participating in AAU can be quite expensive, as can the cost of a team of attending AAU Nationals or other summer tournaments.
The Matrix offers scholarships to players on a need basis as our policy is that no player should not play for financial reasons.
In addition, we want to assist our teams in their fundraising efforts to attend Nationals and other suche events.
As such, we have set up an online donation page for you to make a tax deductible donation for scholarships or to a Matrix team of your choosing; the Matrix is a tax-exempt Section 501(c)(3) organization.
Click here to visit the Matrix donation page for more information and to make a donation.
